چکیده

We are in danger of losing our current standards living due to the depletion natural resources. It is essential decrease amount waste produced. In reactor engineering, production caused by formation byproducts. To increase selectivity reactor, fluid dynamics should benefit intrinsic reaction kinetics, which can only be done when each molecule has exactly same experience. The mass transfer from a bubble generally assessed solely overall coefficient bubble. However, concentration profile far uniform transferred obtained seems confined hydrodynamic wake structures quite stable and not easily disturbed other bubbles. This leads large gradients bulk, prevents molecules liquid have or similar experience reactor. As this will impact on consecutive reactors considered. would future study these local mixing profiles bubbly flows particular multi-phase general.

Numerical modelling of bubbly flows with and without heat and mass transfer

In this paper, modelling gas–liquid bubbly flows is achieved by the introduction of a population balance equation combined with the three-dimensional two-fluid model. For gas–liquid bubbly flows without heat and mass transfer, an average bubble number density transport equation has been incorporated in the commercial code CFX5.7 to better describe the temporal and spatial evolution of the geome...

Evolving Solitons in Bubbly Flows

At the end of the sixties, it was shown that pressure waves in a bubbly liquid obey the KdV equation, the nonlinear term coming from convective acceleration and the dispersive term from volume oscillations of the bubbles. For a variable u, proportional to -p , where p denotes pressure, the appropriate KdV equation can be casted in the form ut 6uu~ + u ~ = 0. The theory of this equation predicts...

Heat and Mass Transfer in Leather Drying Process

Leather manufacturing involves a crucial energy-intensive drying stage in the finishing process to remove its residual moisture. Determining drying characteristics of leather is vitally important so as to optimize the drying stage. This paper describes an analytical way for determination of the drying characteristics of leather. The model presented, is based on fundamental heat and mass tra...

Toward Efficient Computation of Heat and Mass Transfer Effects in the Continuum Model for Bubbly Cavitating Flows

The Rayleigh-Plesset equation is used extensively to model spherical bubble dynamics, yet it has been shown that it cannot correctly capture damping effects due to mass and thermal diffusion. Full single bubble models have been successfully used to study these diffusion effects, but these are too computationally expensive to implement into the continuum model for bubbly cavitating flows since t...

Shock Propagation in Polydisperse Bubbly Flows

The effect of distributed bubble nuclei sizes on shock propagation in dilute bubbly liquids is computed using a continuum two-phase model. An ensemble-averaging technique is employed to derive the statistically averaged equations and a finitevolume method is used to solve the model equations. The bubble dynamics are incorporated using a Rayleigh-Plesset-type equation which includes the effects ...
